Pubs on 12 Bus Line

This line is operated by TriMet. A journey planner is here.

Hidden away in a mixed-use neighborhood of light industry and residences, wide range of beers brewed and on tap, and chances are they will be brewing and you'll savor your beer with the sweet smell of wort in the air. Pub menu is uncomplicated and changes depending on who's running the kitchen.

Rambling multi-roomed pub-restaurant attracts the hipster-ish crowd with very good pub food, beer, and booze. There's a basement bar if it gets crowded at the main-floor bar.

Multi-outlet brewery/pub group; the NE Sandy location is the original. Reliably good beers and hearty pub food on the menu. 2nd location is in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood.

Third taproom for Level Beer, with other locations in far NE PDX and SW PDX's Multnomah Village. Wide range of house beers. 21 taps pour beer, the other six pour guest ciders, seltzers, and kombucha. Food from Mexican food cart out back.

Roomy neighborhood brewpub in Kerns neighborhood. Nice big beer patio out front.

Smallish functional taproom serves a range of quality house brews. Mt Tabor originally started in Portland, relocated across the Columbia to Vancouver, and is now back in Portland and one of the latest in the Buckman Brewery District.

Single wedge-shaped room and wide bar features a dozen taps and a generous list of booze, including a lot of whiskies. The taps include a cider, Fernet Branca (yes, on tap) for those so inclined, and 9 craft beers and Rainier lager as the one constant, for those just looking for a cheap old-school American lager.

Former home of BTU Brasserie, then a brewpub under new ownership, now a brewery with a separate independently-owned attached restaurant called Arrowood.

Stammtisch  Full menu available. WiFi available Specializes in German Beer and German Styles

One of two local beer venues that feature only German (or Austrian) beers on tap, just like its Seattle and Portland sister pubs in the Prost! group. No local beers generally, but really good German-inspired food and imported beers in good condition more than make up for this. Outdoor seating and wide open windows and doors in good weather, a classic "Eckkneipe" in the urban German tradition.

Smallish two-room pub for beer drinking on-premises or growler fills to take away. Simple and minimalist but lively.

Well-worn old-fashioned British-style pub serving the nearby neighborhood and beyond. Great spot to stop in for a beer after seeing a 70mm film at the nearby Hollywood Theater.

Nice conversion of SE Portland residence into a themed multi-room pub with small beer patio. Eclectic craft beer selection. The theme alludes to working folks, and the bar is run as an owner/worker collective.
