More than two and a half decades in, Hair of the Dog's beers have gained recognition far beyond Portland, but production remains deliberately small-scale, and the brewery's own tasting room is the best place to find and enjoy the exceptional range of house beers on offer. Food is good, too.

You don't have Hair of the Dog Brewing in your town. We do. It's a near mandatory beer geek destination for visitors from near and far. There's lots of beer friendly food, always a solid tap list, and bottles that you wish you could buy and take home for your own, but here, you'll have to drink them on-premises. There are far worse fates.
